It's time.......

The summer season is just about here.  It's time to sit and read, do some gardening, eat out on the deck and actually -- in truth -- do just about nothing.
We made arrangements to drop off quilts to Ronald McDonald House last Tuesday.  Now I have the hangers back, I can make some more.

The kits are all made up for the next little while and they could actually take me into late August.
I'm planning on taking my time over the next few weeks to make a quilt.  It might take a week, it might take longer.  Right now I'm working on this one:

I took a pantograph, chopped it up a bit and came up with this

Sorry, that's all I'm showing you for now.  Sometime next week (maybe), it will be done and I'll do a post.
Enjoy the week-end.  Our forecast is for great weather, so I guess we will be cranking up the bar-be-que.

I want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to Anita of Cottonmill Threadworks.  She has been my go-to thread expert for a long, long time.  Anita is retiring and is going to do things for herself after 24 years of travelling from coast to coast in Canada representing Superior Threads.  She will be missed, her knowledge will be missed, but I fortunately learned a lot from her.
