Perfection!

I said on Wednesday I was back to my old shops for fabrics.  Here we go with some beauties from

my long time favourite store.  The Hobby Horse in Glen Williams or as some of us affectionately call it "The Glen."  The same lady has owned this shop for over 40 years with no plans of retiring.  Good for Gail!!  It keeps her young.

I placed the order on a Saturday evening of a long week-end. I knew it wouldn't be here for a bit but I had other things to do.  On Tuesday morning while we were out getting our shopping done before foul weather was coming, I thought -- maybe I should get some muslin in.  My original order had just gone out the front door of the store, but Heather called the staff back, they cut my muslin and popped it in with my order.  The entire load of fabric arrived at my door the next morning.  Wanna see what I got???

Everything was in this lovely little bag I know I will find a use for.  Or maybe I'll take it back when we go to visit after the winter is over.  It's an hours drive for me now so I want good weather.
If you are ordering, you may as well keep going, right?  This online retailer is another favourite.  I've ordered a lot from them over the years and yes ordered the same time, received the same day as the other order.
This fabric will be made up into a quilt for a Mom and her two girls for Christmas.  A family that struggles from day to day and one we have been gifting to for the last 3 Christmases.  I had a teacher pick them out for me.  Only stipulation.....it has to remain anonymous.
Always a wee note on my invoice.
AND finally, the last of the fabric for the "pocket pillows" arrived yesterday from Charlottetown, PEI.  I love this store.  I shopped there a lot when we travelled to our favourite Island.  This is called Winter Toss.  I'll reverse the fabrics and use up the blue over time on just a regular old pillow.  Snowmen???  I'm giving that a think.
I did phone The Hobby Horse and I did email Lindley about their customer service.  When folks go out of their way for you, it's the little things.
No quote today, just this.
