Bazaars are over with for this year, but I can think about next year, can't I?
These are very Danish. I learned to make them from my father-in-law when we went home for Christmas a long time ago. The Danes make them out of paper but I thought I would try fabric.
These are supposed to be baskets, but the first one just needs ribbon to hang it on the tree. It won't open because when I thought my brain was in gear, I discovered it wasn't!! It would work though
This is a basket and just needs the ribbon to hang it. This is time consuming and althought I have nothing but time, I wasn't amused while trying to weave the fabric.I found another pattern -- by a girl of Danish heritage -- and I think I'll be out finding the paper to make these. After a Google search I found paper and I'll give it a try. Michaels have some and if you would like to take a gander on this website http://www.thescrapbookshop.ca/
The pattern can be found here. It's free and you just have to download. The instructions are very well written. If you make these baskets, they can hold candy, a cookie for Santa or even a gift card. A versatile decoration.
