It was Black Friday sooooo

 I worked on a black quilt.  I had one side left to sew down the binding, so while Karl napped, I sewed

I don't do customer orders e.v.e.r!  It's not my thing.  I worry too much about whether the customer will like it, or whether I've chosen the right fabrics. or, or, or.

This time I think I did well.  The gifter is very happy.  I hope his Mom loves it too.  The back has a really nice fabric that works very well with the fabrics on the front.  I added fabric to the sides with a bit of a design.

I decided to use the birds, geese, what have you. on the label so everything went together.  I had never done this before, but there is a first time for everything.  I used a bit of the left over fabric for the border on the label.  Sorry the giver's words and his name are blacked out.  

I snapped some photos before Karl and I rolled the quilt to put away until it's almost time to gift it.  I'm offering my wrapping services so the young man can walk in the house with the gift ready to go and Mom won't see it.  I asked him for one thing!!  A photo of Mom on Christmas morning opening her gift. No, sorry not sharing that.

 

It is finished before the end of the month and that was my goal.  I was going to work on some bibs for some little guys but my order hasn't arrived yet.  No idea what I will do in the meantime.  

I only charged the young man for the fabric.  My gift is my time.
