Zoology!!

A few left over pieces of fabric got me thinking.  I cut them into 6 inch squares and had nine of them.  I sat at the computer with EQ7 in front of me and designed and designed again.  I finally came up with something I liked but where to find the fabric.  Along Came Quilting in Calgary, Alberta had it in stock, so I ordered what I wanted.

This is the design I settled on -- after a few of them.  I downloaded the fabric to see if it would all work together -- even though they looked good on the table I placed them on.  You just have to make sure.

This is by Hannah Dale of Wrendale Design for Maywood Studio.  This first one is called 'zoology'
these are simply called grey dot/blue dot.

These borders do a 'circle' around the quilt.  I just felt like it, is my reason.  Start at the top, do the right side, do the bottom, do the left side.  Repeat each border the same way until you are done.  Give your quilts a personal touch -- there are no rules in quilting

A quick bit of time on the long arm on a rainy day and it was done.  I would have loved to do frolicking penquins but to be honest what I found was rather scary looking.

So I did ‘Cakewalk”, because it reminds me of animals when they run around in circles.  A beautiful Grey/blue OMNI/V thread worked out beautifully.
