When I mess up

I like to do a really good job of it.  I didn't have a post for today so once I discovered this yesterday, I thought I better get one ready.

Fall has arrived and it is my absolute favourite season.  The temperatures are perfection, the colours are glorious and day by day you see the changes right before your eyes.

The wall hanging came out.  A Muskoka chair on the dock in Ontario with a Hudson Bay blanket and my blue mug resting on the arm.  A book that has been finished placed down carefully because a nap was probably called for in the glorious afternoon.  This is one wall hanging Karl and I both love and it will be here until it's time to decorate for December.

It's also time for all the pumpkins to come out of storage.  Most are homemade by myself or our daughter-in.  She uses fabric, I knit mine.  A few were also bought at our local gift department in our hardware store.

The door needs decorating, so the broom came out that Heather also gave us.  I had to fix it this year but really all I did was re-glue and move the bell.

I subscribe to Jacquelynne Steeves and this month there was a free pattern.
I stitched it out on the back of a favourite fabric, but the wording didn't show up.  Out it came and quite quickly I may add
and now it is so much better BUT
I think if I was to do this again and I'm seriously considering it for a pillow, I will do it on a soft cream fabric and colour it and then do the embroidery work.  That will have to wait though as I have a knitting project to get done first.  What am I going to do with this????  I'm hoping there will be a free winter pattern and I can make a wall hanging.  Time will tell.
