This was lengthy. It took me three pages to type up the instructions with photos and one page for the templates. I'm going to post photos here and give you the link to print off the instructions. Supplies: one cross stitch (an option is given), backing, fusible interfacing, a piece of ribbon or cording
Make sure you have the templates for cutting the fabric. They are important.
After the cross stitch is completed -- in the centre of the Aida Cloth -- 14 count to make it easier on the eyes -- cut it out using the ornament template.
Fuse the interfacing to the backing and pocket fabric and cut them out. Fold the pocket in half and press firmly on the crease.
Then you layer.
Place the cross stitch right side up, then lay the pocket at the bottom and the cording centered at the top. Then place the backing, right side down and stitch around the perimeter. I started two stitches above the pocket, right around to the other side leaving about a 2 1/2" opening.
Pull the cross stitch out so it is facing you. The pocket may be on the front of the work but you can just pop it to the back. Stitch up the opening.
Pop the money into the pocket and you have it made.
