A lot of knitting gets accomplished in an evening in our house

I knit to pass the time.  It keeps my mind occupied and helps my arthritic fingers.

This is all going over to the next city to me for Community Living Homes.  I can knit a toque in a day and most times a hat in the evening.  Scarves are the bane of me as they take forever, cowls aren't bad because it is mindless.  I love mindless.  I don't have to concentrate as much as I do with a pattern which I do constantly muck up.  The majority of this knitting is simply knitting and purling and wonderful pompoms made with a pompom maker Karl made for me.

I gipped the women with the first load of knitting so I've tried to make it up this time.  This is all Marvellous Chunky yarn from Mary Maxim.  Link at the bottom.

Three different coloured yarns and I bought really bulky yarn for the pompoms that co-ordinate with the hat(s).

The scarves were all knitted with Patons Sayelle and I just cast on stitches and went for it.  I opted to purl or cable or whatever.  They will tuck inside the collar of a coat and keep the neck warm.
One cowl, two headbands.  The yarn has to be used up.  Every inch of it.

This hat is my design and it worked out!!!  I was so thrilled when I yank the yarn through the last stitches and pulled it tight.  It was so easy to do and I've given the instructions.

Toque pattern by me is here:
