Don't panic!!
"If you see a raccoon in your yard during the day, she is not necessarily sick or dangerous. It's perfectly normal for raccoons to be active throughout the day. She may merely be foraging longer hours to support her young, visiting a garden while the dogs are indoors, or moving to a new location."
We called it Rocky.
Then we did some research.
HER name was changed to Rockette.
and then.....
Karl opened the doors to the deck and she wandered away.
This is a great healthy 'coon. Her coat was beautiful, she was alert and all she wanted was a meal of sunflower seeds. We obliged
Apparently she was making herself at home at several homes in our neighbourhood.
A wildlife treat for all of us.
We have so many memories of raccoons
from travelling and spending time in
Algonquin Park.
Not many nights went by we weren't entertained by
their visits.
Remember.
"All God's creatures, got a place in the choir."
