Danielle Steel

Every once in a while, I order a Danielle Steel book.  I like certain authors but I don't read all their books and I don't order one after the other.  If I can't find a cover of a book that catches my eye, I go back to the authors that have never disappointed me.  Danielle Steel is one of them.

The story of Melissa and the loss of her son from a brain tumor, her marriage that crumbled after the loss.

As you delve into the book and Melissa leaving her great life in New York for the beautiful countryside of Massachusetts, you find that her life was never easy.  A bad mother, a father that had every reason to drink and the loss of both her parents which left her to raise her younger sister.

Life changes come along.  A better life for Melissa and her sister Hattie and the daughter that Melissa was forced to put up for adoption when she was 16.  Life changes that start the story that I'm not giving away.

Twists and turns of life but how at the end things worked out.  Not without the struggles we all face, but through patience and a man named Norm.

It's a good read -- even better when your husband isn't trying to carry on a conversation with you -- and for me at least 5 *****.

The book is available at Chapters/Indigo for $12.00.  I just looked that up for you.

To the children I know who were adopted and loved by their Moms and Dads this is for you.
The Dow Children -- all three of you
Melanie, a lovely young lady
Shannon, a new Mom with a beautiful baby girl
