Due to not being able to stand for long periods of time, I have been knitting -- a lot!! I've pretty much finished up bazaar things and anything else now will be a bonus for them. One church left to go but that is sit down sewing so I can whip that out during the day and trim up at night.
- I made these with great intentions, decided they were a bit big for the project, so I looped them together and they hang on my computer. If you check out the keyboard you can find the letters for "LOVE", which is how I feel about being able to sit here and do research.
2. I knitted this little hat up one evening and pulled a finished pompom out of my knitting bag. I liked the looks so I added it to the top. Karl agreed -- it looked pretty good. This yarn is from Michaels and I love knitting with it. It's right up there with..................
3. Paton's Canadiana. It's my all time favourite and I've been using it for many years. I pulled ends of yarn from my vase and made the pompoms for the ends of the scarf. A blue, cream and what was left from the scarf.
4. And then there was this. One and only one will ever be knitted. I did not like the cotton yarn to knit with. It didn't glide along the needle smoothly, so after row one I knitted until I felt it was big enough. I'll use the rest for a project I'm doing sometime later this spring. If you don't mind the feel of cotton you can find the pattern by googling Copycat Dishcloth.
5. The final one for this round. A neck scarf. It is called Promenade and I found it on Ravelry. The only thing I would do differently the next time is put the button holes on the start end, not the finish end. It is lovely and warm and fills in the gap from your buttoned up winter coat to your neck. Once I adjust the button I sewed on in the wrong place, I'll put it in the donation box. The yarn is a Caron Cinnamon Swirl Cake called Oyster. These "cakes" are a lot of yarn so I think the rest will be knitted into a blanket.
