My goodness.....

 I left Facebook a long time ago.  I left Twitter when Elon Musk purchased it because I knew trouble would brew.  I have now left Instagram.  

I left social media because I don't like the posts and the hurtful comments.  I don't know why when people are at a keyboard and not face to face with someone they think they can post disgusting things.  We won't even discuss the swearing!!

When our Governor General was appointed, I said to Karl "about time"!  She is Indigenous!  She speaks two languages, one of which very few of us do......Inuktitut and English.  She promised to learn French during her tenure.  Shoot!  I speak English, a pinch of Danish and what I remember of my Quebec French.  Congratulations, Mary on speaking your mother tongue which was here on this land before either English or French.

I cannot be a part of social media that is hateful, that threatens people's lives because of a job they do.  A job in this case that represents the Crown. A job that has been done by many over the years, some extremely good and some very bad, but those things happen.

I don't understand why when comments are reported they are not dealt with by the forum, but they don't go against their "guidelines".  Problem is -- I don't think they have any. 

I won't go back to social media.  Between the media and social media the world has turned on it's axis.  

All comments on Mary Simon's social media pages are disallowed.  There will be more of this coming.  I don't agree with everything my Premier does, or my Prime Minister or my Mayor, but I'm not going to rake them over the coals and threaten their lives. 

Just putting things out there.  There won't be other posts like this because I really don't feel the need to explain myself.  This one however hurt!!  A Governor General who's heritage goes back before mine does and she is maligned by a bunch of people.
