Storage pods! I use them to store my 6" ruler, my small rotary cutter and a tiny mat for when I'm up and down the stairs. Here's the link for them. It is a free pattern and you just download the PDF.
These are made up for the children we give to at Christmas. I have one more to make for a young boy, and I will pick up the fabric Tuesday when I'm down in that area. It's space fabric!! This is so cool! I found the perfect book at Indigo to go with it.
I know it's a good book, because Leah read it to me!!
Each pod will hold a bottle of bubble bath and a new face cloth. You fold the cloths and the bottle sits inside that. The children can then use the pods for what ever they like. (the bottle shown I grabbed from Karl's shower)
I love the forest fabric, but it's all gone now!! I have a bit of the cat fabric left and no idea what I will do with it. Give me time. I hope to come up with something.
Now how did I fold that cloth? I Googled fancy ways to fold them and then decided to keep it simple. Of course, now that I've gone back to find it to post, I can't find it. So here you go.....
- Lay your face cloth out flat.
3. Fold over the other 1/3
4. I flipped my cloth over so the "fancy" part showed. Not necessary
5. Fold up the bottom section 1/3 of the way
6. Scrunch the top end of the other side and tuck it in the bottom. Then wiggle it a bit to make it lie flat and neat
7. Now this could be a pocket for some "fancy" things, like soap bombs, a razor, whatever an adult would like
