I know people like me are a pain. Getting the brain in gear for next Christmas already. I have a theme and I have the fabric so on this delightful day of howling wind, blowing snow and dropping temperatures I opened up the sewing machine.
I had ordered some fabric a couple of weeks ago and decided to do some sewing. You can only watch the weather for so long and then it's time to hide from it. I bought this from The Quilting B and More
and decided to get going on at least one as I have 7 to make and things to make for a new baby coming.
I had the cuff fabric in my stash for a different project. That project is not being made so as the woven fabric worked so well with the snowman's scarf it was used. I have more in the box, thank goodness.
There was enough left-over from the meterage (is that a word?) so I cut up enough to make two buckets for two other children. I have white lining for one bucket and no idea yet what I will use for the other one. I'll just do a search. The buckets will hold a scarf, a pair of mitts, a bag of chips, some Smarties, some other candy and any other treat we can find. I will also get a little stuffie for each child. I'll ask at my favourite candy shop the best seller for children.
When I am finished with my patterns I put them back in their plastic bags (I recycle everything). These bags are what my fabric comes in from Lindley General store. I put my patterns in and hang them up so I'm not printing off patterns every time I want to make something. My board is near my cutting table, so no excuses!
Tomorrow is our Christmas supper. Once again it is just Karl and I so we can do things at our speed with no pressure. I'm over stress. I don't want it, I don't need it.
Merry Christmas
