The original idea for this

quilt was to use the Timber Gnomes fabric I used last year.  For me, it was another load of money spent and I  wasn't sure I wanted to do that.

I dug through the stash and found two fabrics I liked and redesigned the original pattern.

To this:

from this:

I didn't have enough of the grey fabric, so I had to do some quick stepping and redesigning to make it work.  I don't know whether the store had more because of course, it was closed.  At $18.99M I wasn't sure I wanted to buy any either.
It ended up working out.  I even have enough to make half the binding so it will be grey/red/grey/red --- ah, you know how it goes.  Thank goodness I have a patient husband who gives me my afternoon's to do as I like.
I have the pantograph all done, I think I have the thread chosen and the binding is in a bag so I won't use it for something else.  I'll roll it up for now and stitch it in October/November and then it's done.  It will also have it's own card to go with it.
Well, then I made the backing because I had fabric in stock.  I also made the card and it's in the box with the other card.
