I had 52 + inches of backing fabric left over. I thought of "fancy" pillows for our bedroom, but I couldn't figure out how to get the pillow forms for curbside pick up. I didn't have zippers in stock either, so I shook my head and the brain fell into place. Pillowcases!!
I had 17 inches left of this which meant cutting it in half. Yield 8.5" which isn't quite enough for a cuff. I love big cuffs. So I trimmed the + piece of fabric left over from the backing that I had trimmed off and used that piece, along with this fabric and did a cuff that looked
like this on the inside.
I was going to use the serger to make these, but my serger does not like thick seams and this pillowcase had two of them. I opted to follow the directions from All People Quilt to do the "french seam" method. I rather like it because everything looks finished when you are done.

Our pillowcases are longer than average because we have big pillows on our bed. I opted for King size because standard pillows don't go edge to the middle and it leaves a gap. I know. I can hear ya!! I am fussy. I'm sorry.
I'm trying to bind the quilt but the warm weather is hampering my efforts. It's coming along slowly and maybe next week it will be done.
