I actually made the backing for this before I started to sew the front. I am determined that over the summer months my stash will be down to nil.
I definitely do not sew as much in the summer so it took me a couple of days to make the front. The back was certainly long enough.I went down one Sunday morning after the chores were done and stitched it out. I used OMNI-V 9023, Silver Reef. The pantograph is "Unwind" from Urban Elementz and when I did the repeats on the layout I placed them really close together so there were lots going across the width of the quilt. The binding was ready so after a couple of nights of stitching it was done. I will not confess how many pantographs I tried or how many threads I took out of boxes to puddle on this fabric. The word "lots" comes to mind for both.
You are welcome to download the pattern. You can simply take a screenshot of this photo. Please remember all copyright rules apply.
One piece of advise. Watch how you press all your seams. It is easier to nest them when one row runs in one direction and one in the other.
Kawartha Quilting and Sewing is now handling some of the Superior Thread lines. You can check out their website for all the details. I highly recommend them. Their customer service is "superior"!!
