The rotary cutter and I

are becoming very good friends.  I decided this past week-end to make up kits and then when the mood strikes, I can just sit and sew the quilt tops together.  If I have enough fabric I throw that in for the backings and bindings.
I already had two panels packaged up, so I only had to make up the patterns, run them off, find the fabrics and start cutting.
This kit is a joint effort.  Lindley very kindly gave me the orange fabric and it will work great with the jungle print called Safari Swank.  It's a simple pattern that will work up quickly.  There is enough in the bag for the backing.
I found left-overs from bindings, so I cut them 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" and designed this quilt.  The blocks will not be all the same.  They are all blues and greys and great fabric for the white area.
Those red squares are left-overs I've had for years.  I counted them up, designed this quilt and when I feel like sewing a lap quilt, I will get it done.  I did buy the cream and the backing brand new and I can't decide if this will be donated or it's a keeper.  Time will tell.
Grey fabric!!  Who knew I had so much.  I won't after this quilt and another one.
Zoometrics!!  I like this fabric and could not tell you why.  It caught my eye and I have the pantograph all ready selected.  It will keep the theme going!  That's all I'm saying
The same green fabric but with more Safari Swank.  Boy I hope kids like animals, cause I'm on a roll with them.
I've been knitting and I had to incorporate a heart.  One thing always leads to another......
It's being done in greys and blues.  I don't possess pinks!  I'll have to look for other colours.  Maybe whites with a different coloured background.  We'll see
I looked in a box for something and found a stack of 6 1/2" squares.  I guess I had great plans for them but couldn't remember what.  I knew I had a good pattern so I went in search of it.  This is called Gettysburg Quilt Pattern and it's available from the Fat Quarter Shop.  I like the clean crisp lines of this but when I make it I'm changing the name.

Now to start to sew..................
