I'll let you decide.
This is Baron the Bear. These new sizes are called play mats and they are suggesting you sew a few of them together and then chenille them. They would be lovely as a mat beside a crib. BUT, I donate these so they are just a great sized quilt.

Because these panels are the same size as a backing I inserted a piece of fabric that has every colour of the panel in it. I wish I had used my head and placed in on the left side and not the right but hey, does it really matter? Not to a childThe pantograph is Stars and Clouds from Urban Elementz. Bear seems to be doing a bit of day dreaming so his head is quite possibly up in the clouds.
I opted for a brown thread on this quilt. It's OMNI-V 9081. I thought of blue but I really didn't want Baron to have visible stars all over him. It ended up blending well with all the colours.
When I cut the backing for a quilt, I always add extra to the length so when I trim I have the binding without searching for something that will work. I forgot about that when I added the insert in the back. I left it there and every once in awhile they is a little "zip" to the binding. All was well until the join landed right in the corner. It was a struggle to pull it to the back, but I did it!
If I could reach, I would have given myself a pat on the shoulder for that one.
