Labels

I hate making labels.  They are time consuming and they are "stiff" after you print them off.  You are supposed to give a life history and I'm just not into that.  History?  Yes, I do love it, but these quilts are to be used by whomever they are given to, not to be held onto in a box for posterity.

I searched on line awhile ago looking for somewhere to buy something simple and I lucked out.

There is a fabulous company down in Philadelphia, PA, USA.  I'm going to give you a link to their company and you can read their fascinating story.
Find out why they call it the Dutch Label Shop........
                                   https://www.dutchlabelshop.com/en_us/about-us

I took a chance the first time.  I designed my little label all by myself on their page.  I didn't want it to say much just enough to let people know where I lived and I was donating it "Just Because".

I fold them in half for pillowcases and sew them into the seam right at the top.  Sorry no photos of that and the pillowcases for now are gone.

They tell you production will take 7 days and then they will be shipped.  They are right on.  You can open an account and they keep you on file, so if you don't want to change anything you can just hit re-order.

They are all I need for what I do.  At the time of writing up this column I had three left from my first order and these I will start to use pretty soon.  My biggest problem is remembering to put them on.  I think I need this huge note hung in the sewing room so I don't forget.
This is the creek that flows through our valley.
Just before a major storm was to hit the area I stopped and took some photos.
It's a long creek and ends up at the Royal Botanical Gardens.

The "x's" mark the spots where I snapped the photos.

On a very serious note
today is
Bell Let's Talk Day.

Never presume that your friend is not having a good day.

Never think that cheerfulness is how he/she is feeling deep down inside.
Mental illness is just that.  An illness, the same as cancer, the same as heart disease.  It is not to be taken lightly.

Depression is hard.  It takes a long time to recuperate and it is so easy to fall back into it.

Help your friends.  Help your family.
