It is one of my favourites in all the photos I ever took of him. We hit it off from day one. We both love hockey and when he was around 6, I asked him if he wanted to bet on a hockey game with me. He could pick which team he wanted. The bet.......25¢! He picked the Leafs, I have no idea who I got. He won. He was hooked.
Now he buys, sells and trades hockey cards. Even has his own booth at shows with his best buddy.
There was a fellow on TV one day selling his book and that got me thinking. Mr. B, I have your gift selected. The book and two packages of hockey cards.
I saw this fabric and there was 1.4M left on the bolt. It was mine!!
One freezing cold day I went downstairs, cut up the fabric and within an hour I had two pillowcases made. I serge mine now. So much easier than those french seams that always left little bits of fabric sticking out.
Brandon is all grown up now. He turned 26 this year. This is him and his buddies getting ready for a whale watching tour in New Brunswick this fall
Other than all those fabulous camping trips we had together this was the best vacation he has had in a long time. He was floating on air when he came home.
