at the first of the month was not nice. It was hot, it was humid and we didn't go anywhere -- well unless you count the basement where it was rather nice.
I decided to sort my fabric one day and make kits up. For some I designed new patterns, for one I knew it was going to be easy going.
I finished up the coasters in a short period of time -- like in a really short period of time
and once they were done and the fabric was finally gone, I opted to start another project after designing it on EQ7. No I never upgraded to 8, 7 does it all for me.
I'm calling this one Starry Checks as one of the fabrics has stars - Wolly Stars and the other is a plaid. Guess I better come up with another name. Dang, I thought it was checks! Plaid Stars???
This is the pattern I designed but I actually didn't have enough fabric so I ordered another 1/2 metre cuts of the two of them. I definitely had enough for the centres of the blocks. I have a solid blue for the backing and if needs be, I can add one of the fabrics that is used on the front. With what is left-over from the new order I can get the binding out of it.
Future sewing is ready to go. Hopefully the weather turned by the time you read this. I don't do well with heat and humidity.
