Recycle when you can

Most of my fabric is ordered from The Hobby Horse.  I have known Gail, the owner, for many years.  We used to do trade shows together..........her store was often located across from the store I worked in.  Then I took classes and did the shop hops.  Now I just order on line or call up and they ship it down.

My beautiful fabric comes in bags--lovely bags and I had no idea what to do with them.

I had storage pods made for something else so I grabbed them.  The pattern is a freebie
from here.
They make up very quickly so doable in a short period of time.
I tried putting some stuffing in the bottom of the bag and then the lightbulb came on
and I made up some tiny pillows.  6" x 6" cut with a 1/4" seam allowance, right sides
together, turn them out after sewing, stuff loosely and sew up the opening.
I found these "stuffies" at my local Home Hardware store and bought them with no ideas in
mind.  Personally I think they are kind of sweet and hopefully a small child will too. Each one
is a different colour so I tried to match them with the hamster on the book
or the colour of the pillow.  (I am not fussy.)
I found the books at Indigo and according to a teacher I know these
books are loved.  Another book is on it's way.
Put everything in the bags, tie them up
and they are ready for the bazaar.
These are a practice run for next year.
If they sell out I can make more.
There are lots of books to choose from
and if you watch the sales
well......you know......
