I grew up in Lachine, Quebec and loved the winters. We skied, we tobogganed, we had snowball fights and made snowmen. We even skated on the streets after an ice storm. My Dad always built a rink in the backyard and the city had a lot of them scattered throughout the neighbourhoods. It was a great life for a young child. I bought this fabric from the Hobby Horse and I love it. It is the softest flannel I've used in a long time. It's the remnants from the last quilt I made.
I opted for a new pantograph..........Wind Swirls. It stitched out beautifully.
A navy blue OMNI thread and luck was with me. I was using up bobbins and stitched out both rows, pulled out the bobbin and...............
I thought I would try a new method of stitching down the binding on the ends. I did them by machine, starting with the piece sewn down on the inside of the pillow. After I pressed it over to the right side, I gave it a blast of steam to keep it in place, pinned it, I put the machine on a zig-zag at 3 length, 3 width and here you have it.
The instructions to make these pillows can be found here:
Lay them flat, fold in the ends, stitch them down, zig-zag the edges, turn them right side out and you have a pillow cover. Doable in an afternoon while your husband has his nap.
Karl saw the pillow
Karl claimed the pillow
I tossed it to him and said
