What can I say

I have joined the knee surgery group!!  I have an appointment with my orthopedic surgeon next month and then I shall wait for a surgery date.  I'm writing this on the first day of spring -- March 20th -- and I see the doctor May 3rd.  They are going to get the surgery date set now so it looks like sometime this fall.

I shall be doing a lot of knitting, some sewing, not a lot of quilting but I'm not giving that up.  I am going to pull out some cross stitch and sit and do that, too.  Housework is going on the far back burner........like the one outside, on the deck!!

Back to knitting.  I have liked this hat pattern since I saw it, but never got around to knitting it up.  No idea how I found it.  You can find it in two places.  I joined Ravelry years ago and it's one of the best out there for "freebies".  However, this pattern is also available here on Love Crafts

It took me one evening of knitting to complete the baby size hat.  It was mindless knitting.  Once you had the pattern in your mind, you just did it.  I am making this one up again.
This hat is the end of the -- hmmmm, red (?) yarn.  It is being donated to St. Luke's Anglican Church along with the others.
It does say on the pattern instructions these hats are stretchy, so they should fit for a long time.  I seem to make hats and wear them forever.  I'm making one up for myself just to see.
These may also become the gifts I give this Christmas, because it is Ontario, it gets winter and snow and wind and we love cozy.  And NO, we do not complain about the weather.  We are Canucks!!
