Oh my goodness

When you order things blindly, you really hope it will meet your expectations.  Well, these are above and beyond what I expected.  When I opened the box, I had to get right to work.

I saw this wonderful idea somewhere and thought -- Perfect!!  Just what a bazaar needs.  So I whipped out the credit card and ordered 14 of these from a wonderful woodworker in Timmins, Ontario

The company is called Wood Things and there are a multitude of things you can buy.   I could spend hours on this website.  Everything is laser cut, so every single key I have ordered will be exactly the same.

Add a ribbon, add a verse and you have the perfect little gift for a child.  They say it's for a child that doesn't have a chimney but the child in all of us just knows that chimney or not, this little gift is a keeper..
This is the verse, found ?, I don't know where, but maybe Pinterest.  I put this into word in a 4 x 6 text box and ran it off.  I trimmed the two corners on an angle from 1" to 1" and then punched a hole in it.  I used up the blue ribbon I had just to add some colour.
The plastic bags I saved, for some reason, from a store here in town.  I used to take them back but I found this in the sewing room, so I'm reusing them.  I hope I can find more of them.  They are perfect for this project.  The other perfect bags come in the Shake 'n bake boxes.  I measure out the coating into a bowl with a lid, put the chicken in and give it a good shake. The bags go to the sewing room for projects.

After searching for a few days, I found a book about the Magic Key.  It is for your Kobo -- ereader -- and it can be found here.  https://www.kobo.com/ca/en/ebook/santa-and-a-magic-key-1  It is or was $8.99 and it could be a book that a parent reads to a child.  No way could I find a hard copy.  I have found books on youtube so I went checking.  There are a few but this one

Santa’s Magic Key

With a sprinkle of magic

And a dash of holiday cheer

This key only works once a year

Place this key on Christmas Eve

Somewhere I can plainly see

So, I can leave you presents under the tree.

                     Love, Santa
