I showed you this a couple of days ago, but there is more to the story of this yarn.
These balls of yarn are big and that's one of the reasons I buy them. I can knit a few things up from these. There are about 407 yards to each one. I buy them at Michaels when they are on sale. This one is "oyster".
I figured that I could make up a baby blanket that would fit over a child in their car seat. I started knitting and kept track of the ball of yarn. I thought -- I can do this!! I dropped 4 rows - just because - and then this happened.
I thought -- no problem. There were lots at the store when I got this one so I went online and looked for it.
Sold Out!!
Checked other stores -- sold out
Sooooooooooooo
I called my local store.
Can you believe these are seasonal balls of yarn????
I knit all year.
I don't have a season!
Anyway, after my conversation I went back online.
Well, lookie, lookie,
they have them in the warehouse.
So I ordered one and then figured while I'm here I'll just get the other two balls I need.
It was shipped from Lethbridge, AB and it arrived on a Monday that had the most perfect weather. 20*C on the back deck
and finished in a short period of time.
The little blanket that works well in a baby car seatNow what to do with the rest of it.
I'm on the hunt!
