I was in Shoppers to buy milk one day and walked past the magazine stand. There in all it's glory was an old children's magazine that Kristina had a subscription to. Chickadee!! I picked it up. You could pop in a magazine and give them a subscription to it.
As I finished up the last two pillows, another thought went spinning around. A bit more costly, but for some of us affordable. A book and a stuffie.
I love stuffies! I bought three stuffed hamsters last year at my Home Hardware store and here they sit.
Heck if you are giving a stuffie, why not find a book to go with it. Every stuffie has a story you know.
I found this on the Indigo website and it is not expensive. I have not read this book. There are also books about Harvey the Hamster that the children love.
The final two pillows. All are now in a huge plastic bag, lying flat waiting for bazaar season.
Always try to think outside the box. Think beyond the purpose of something. A reading pillow doesn't have to be a book a child can read, it can be a book Mom/Dad read at bedtime to them. A chapter book is always wonderful, because it leaves you with another bunch of pages for the next night.
Okay, I'm leaving this now. Enough posts about pocket pillows. You are now officially on your own.Third month of the year is done and dusted at midnight.
Watch out tomorrow.
But remember, if you are naughty after noon, the joke is on you!
Happy April Fool's Day.
