A summer of reading

lots of reading.  It's my "summer thing".  Away from everything else except baseball games on tv.  Yes, we went back to watching the Blue Jays.

The book today is

The young writer is from Scotland and I might just be looking for more of her books in the future.  For now, I'm still trying to find new authors.
This book started off badly for me.  So I returned it.  After my birthday with tons of gift cards in hand, I went back and rebought it!!
It is a book about 2 girls, 2 fellows and their friendship.
One young lady in particular is featured after her girlfriend is struck and killed by a car on her way home from Trivia Night at the local pub.  Now don't get upset.  The man behind the wheel suffered a stroke and that is why the accident happened.
The young lady was estranged from her brother and her Dad has dementia.
The story unfolds about her brother and what he endured and what his sister never knew.
It was a wonderful read.
It hit home in a few places
The things we don't know about people but we judge them and form our own opinions.
It was a good read.  I enjoyed it.  I would recommend it, but like everything else it's up to you whether you love it or not.
