however, when it arrived it was much brighter and the print was much larger than I expected. I tried adding a white solid to it and it became even louder!! What was I going to do?
I phoned up to Lindley General Store and they found the perfect piece to go with it. This fabric is from a line called "Squeeze" by FIGO fabrics, a division of Northcott.
I redesigned the quilt
and then proceeded to mess up the cutting. Don't ask which one because now I don't know. It's just as well. All I had to do was trim the Ecru sides back 1/8" on each side and I was good to go. Where was my head???? I got this far on day one We finally had our son and daughter-in-law down for a visit. Heather wanted to learn how to add borders, so I very carefully took photos of the final border I added to the quilt.
If you sew by strip piecing you can accomplish a lot in a short period of time, even when taking photos to add to a document.
This is a gift for a girl I know that has gone through a lot the last couple of years. Divorces can be ugly. She has lost 15 pounds and it was 15 pounds she couldn't afford to lose.
Time to get it on the frame.
