The month of December

was a month of knitting.  I had all the Christmas sewing/quilting done, so I decided to get back to the needles and the yarn.

I was still working on the first shipment of yarn from Mary Maxim.  I did get mine done in between the knitting for a local charity.  This yarn is Woodlands and it is a mixture of a green and brown.  I knitted the two balls together and just kept at it until I was done.  It is warm and cozy and will be perfect for those blustery winter days.

I knitted a lot for adults and this is one set.  I seem to be stuck on women this time which isn't a bad thing.  After a lot of knitting, I still had some yarn left over so I made a headband which is lovely and cozy.
The pattern for the headband came from here
I have some things I love to add to hats for children.  I love these curlicues on girls hats
and then a baby boy's outfit
The i-cord loop was a lot of fun to knit.  It adds a touch to the hat and it's not a pompom which are a pain when you want to put the hood up and over.
You can find the instructions here.
Fabric has arrived at the house.
Fabric has been purged at the house.
One day I will make my way downstairs and start sewing.
I have plans for next Christmas so I may as well get started
on them.
Stay tuned.
