I wanted to show you the final Timber Gnomies. I came up with a couple of ideas for hanging them. One before it was bound and one after.
I really, really hate sewing on sleeves. I have no idea why but I do. This is ours. I opted to cut it down and I'm using the top and bottom for something else.
I knew where this was hanging. It was going to take the place of a wall hanging I made many years ago for Karl's Mom. Take down one Scandinavian wall hanging, put up another. These little guys are called "Nissemen" in Denmark. All part of their folklore. Here's my tip on hanging this one.
Curtain hooks with clips. The idea came to me when our daughter in law asked for no sleeve on her wall hanging. She wanted loops and they don't work well.Heather has corner hangers on her wall hanging. It was her choice and they are still easier than sleeves. 4 1/2" squares folded on the diagonal and sewn in with binding. That's it!!
Two more posts to come.
