Every bit of fabric was used.

I knew when I ordered the panels, I wasn't going to use the top and bottom buffalo plaid on mine.  I just wanted the gnomes.  I set it aside for a couple of days and did some thinking.  I scoured the internet for ideas for cookie baskets/buckets.  I didn't want a handle on them.  This came close.

I had to improvise due to the fabric I was about to use. I bought fusible Pellon so they would really stand up and new fabric, the rest of which is spoken for.

The buffalo plaid measured 24" x 7 1/2" when I trimmed it.  I cut the "batting" and the lining the same size.  Sew the back seam at 1/2"  and for the box corners I cut 2" x 2".
I'll let you decide on how you will make your baskets and if you prefer difference instructions you can Google, free pattern for quilted cookie baskets.  Some have excellent instructions, others not so much.
I thought after, wouldn't border fabric be great to make these with.  You could give them for birthdays, Easter, or whatever the occasion.  A little bun basket for the recipient too.
Here they are

                                                    outside
and number two basket
                                                 outside
                                                       inside
They didn't take long to make at all.  The cutting was pretty well done so it was just time spent at the sewing machine.  Last of the gifts.
