Those irritating elastics

Mother's Day and I decided once again to give a gift to our son.  Cause ya know, I wouldn't be a Mom without him in our lives.
He has to start to wear a mask at work.  The elastics bother him as he wears glasses, sooooo I googled what could be done.  Here you go, step by step.  This is a printable page.....
                                                                   just scroll
                                                                                   down to
                                                                                                the bottom
                                                                                                                  of the page!!
Cut a piece of fabric 5" x 4"
 Cut batting  2 1/2" x 4"
Fold the fabric in half..............to measure 2 1/2" x 4" and lay it on top of the batting, pinning in place
I used my walking foot as my guide and stitched both sides leaving an opening in the "OPEN" side.  You don't need to sew along the edge that is folded.
Trim the corners and turn it right side out.  Push the corners out the best you can.
Take it to the ironing board and steam it really well, so it is nice and flat.
Back to the sewing machine and stitch around the edge making sure to close up the opening.
Now I cheated!!  I used my sewing machine to sew on the buttons and then took two minutes after to sew in the ends.
Here they are.  He gets two of the them == both from masculine material because I thought he might be more inclined to wear them.  Well, that or suffer.  It's up to him.
He also got a card.  Because my boy is the best.   As Anne Murray once said...........you think your boy is best but he's not, mine is!  We should all be so lucky.
