eliminating a lot of fabric. This is an easy quilt to put together. All the blocks are cut 6 1/2" and I used a variety of fabrics. All of them are different except the cream block which is consistent throughout the quilt.
I put it on the wall and then started to sew. I placed a large pin in the first block. I had to know which end was which.
After running up and down the stairs doing this and that I was at this point.
and after posting to Instagram I noticed a "whoops"
I didn't like all the coloured fabrics running down the one side. Easy to fix though.
Just move a row around.
I chose OMNI-V thread for this one long before it even went on the long arm. I also picked the pantograph which is called Maple Sugar. I've had it in the file since I started long arm quilting and I think it is now available through Urban Elementz.
Here you go. All photos taken on the last day of summer. It's all done for the first day of all and yes, this quilt is being donated. I do like the design so I will probably do it again.
Happy October
Our 'mums are beautiful this year. My bed will be growing later this fall when I take this year's purchases and plunk them in the ground.
