was made from fat quarters. All the blocks were cut 5 1/2" to finish at 5" so the liner would measure 20 x 30. Well, I hoped it would. It came mighty close.
When it came time to bind I had nothing but one fat quarter that would do the task at hand. I had to cut and then join it 5 times.
After I had four joins done, I ran the strip around the perimeter of the quilt to make sure that not one join would be on a corner. I had to change my start point because of course, the first one did!! As you can see, not one of the joins hit a corner when I was done.
It takes a couple of minutes to run the binding around the perimeter but it is so much easier to do this than to try to sew a join in a corner.

All done and by the time you read this, it has been delivered to the hospital.
