I'm very fortunate to own a long arm that makes my quilting much easier and faster than doing it on my sewing machine. Load the backing
Load the batting and the top
choose the pantograph and it will always be the same one for this project, so that work is done
I chose three different coloured threads
and here is the rest of the story
I bought all this flannelette at SewEtc., before they went out of business. The "price was right" as they say and I thought I would use it on the backs of quilts. However, flannelette should be washed before you do that and I don't prewash. The fabric was on consignment--sorry, it's the only word that came to mind -- for a lady that no longer quilted. She made a lot of rag quilts over the years and this material was what she had left. I wrote to the store manager and asked her if she remembered this fabric. Cheryl did and told me the ladies' husband wanted the fabric to go to a good home. I hope I've honoured his wishes.
I did break my rule. I did prewash all the flannelette as it can shrink at different rates and I couldn't afford for that to happen. I pressed the fabric as I needed it. This is the result of almost the last of the stash of fabric. Almost.......
