I resized the bunny and made two. One slightly smaller than the other. As they are both looking up I opted for something different.
I didn't think the bunnies stood out enough so I stitched in a solid navy blue OMNI thread around them and highlighted different areas. I also did the little bird highlights by machine with an OMNI-V thread. The same thread I used for the quilting. It blended in and didn't stand out.
It is a plain meandering pantograph because I didn't want to loose the design with little birds fluttering all over it. Imagine these are bird flight paths without the birds.
The background fabric came from Lindley General Store and it is by Northcott from their Pitter Patter line. I know it was available locally but I found that out after.
The backing was intended for another quilt, but I thought it worked well with this quilt so the other one will have to have something else. Sorry all I can tell you is that it was from a line of fabric with hedgehogs and the producer is Fabri-Quilt. I bought it locally in a shop in Dundas.
I went to cut the binding only to discover it wasn't a full piece of fabric. It had a piece cut from it so my length was only 30 some odd inches. I picked up the rest of the bunny fabric and put that in between the light blue lengths.
What was left over went into my "binding box" which one day will be a baby quilt, jelly roll style
