Oh-oh!!

I don't know where my head was last month.  It wasn't at the cutting table, I know that.  I had the pattern in front of me.
I had the cutting instructions in front of me and for some unknown reason, I cut the fabric wrong!!  ALL wrong!
I read 9 1/2 x 10 1/2" so I cut.........across the W.O.F. 10 1/2" and then sub cut 9 1/2".  Then I started to pin them together.  It didn't look right.  I wonder why!  I ran upstairs, opened up the EQ programme and quickly redesigned.  I wasn't going to fiddle around cutting the fabric again because I knew it was just one of those days.
Back downstairs and this was made in minutes.  I strip pieced it -- carefully!!
The next day I made the backing and pinned the rest of the blocks I would need for quilt number 2.  Stash is wonderful.  I got enough to make the backing by adding two pieces top and bottom
The squares on the left side of the photo were going to be cut up to make the binding
I chose this thread for the stitching
because this quilt was having dragon flies swirling all over the flowers.

The pantograph is called Dragon Wings and it comes from Urban Elementz.
