Happy New Year

I phoned Ronald Mcdonald House before Christmas and was told they didn't need pillowcases.  Crumbs!!  I had a stack of fabric already cut and ready to sew.

I put on the thinking cap and decided to get in touch with two places.   One was Joseph Brant Hospital where Karl was a patient last summer.  I wrote on a  Sunday evening and by Monday morning I had an answer.  YES!!  These belong to the children, they go home with them, they don't belong to the hospital.

I also have another organization that will take them for which I'm eternally grateful.  I'll make them "off season" cases sometime this month.

I put them through my serger so they don't take long to make.  These were the first eight I got done before supper
I had to add the yellow to the jelly bean fabric.  It looks a bit like an Easter theme but children won't think of that.
I love the Santa Claus one and wish I knew where I bought the fabric.  It is just so "child" and then there is the one on the left.  I've had that fabric for a long time.  It was time for it to find a new home

By now as you can imagine the pillowcases have been dropped off.
12 of them.

I plan on continuing my donations to Joseph Brant hospital in one way or another.
by the way, three pillowcases went home the day I dropped them off.
