One day we noticed this beautiful little bird at the bird bath…..
this is a chickadee. He lives just about everywhere in Canada and throughout a large part of the USA. He is the cutest little bird and he calls himself …….”dee-dee-dee”. They come to our feeder on a daily basis in summer and winter. We love them………….
This one decided to take a little nap on the edge of the bird bath and then he hopped in, spread his wings…….
turned himself around…
and then gave himself a really good splashing.
These little birds can be pretty tame and if you sit outside long enough with bird seed in your hand, they will come down and help themselves. If you want to read more about the Black-capped chickadee here is a wonderful link.
