A heartwarming story

A few years ago, my friend, Betty in Illinois lost her daughter, Pat. Pat left behind a husband, Dennis, and two children, Beth Ann and Daniel.

Time passed and Dennis remarried to a wonderful girl by the name of Diane.

Two years ago Beth Ann moved to Kentucky to work at Liberty Hall in Frankfort – a field she loves. Well, she not only moved she met a young man that she is going to marry this summer.

Betty's daughter Pat was a quilter. When she passed away, she left behind a few UFO's. (Aren't we all going to do that?) Dennis found a double wedding ring quilt partially finished. He decided to finish it up. He completed the top, sandwiched the quilt and then hand quilted it! He has it finished and is giving it to Beth Ann and her young man as a wedding gift.

The quilt is beautiful. Grandma made a label and sewed it on the back of the quilt. Dennis' wife, Diane added a few stitches to it too.

I would love to be there the day Beth Ann receives her very special gift. I know there will be tears flowing that day, but what happy tears they will be.
