Italy!

 A country I always wanted to visit, but only certain areas.  Never Rome, never Venice, but Tuscany was high on the radar and then I read 

and decided that Portofino would be a lovely place to just sit and watch the water, the boats and enjoy the weather.  I have always lived near water, either a small lake which was part of the mighty St. Lawrence River or one of the smaller Great Lakes.  My preference is the ocean

The book!  Another one by Karen Swan and it was very good!  It starts off with a girl, Clem, who's life  twists this way and that and in the end all is right with her world.  A past she tried to bury with partying and when she did something to hurt her brother, left Britain to try to make amends.

That was when her past caught up with her.  Old friends that hold her secrets. 

The book has the most amazing ending that keeps you spellbound until the last sentence.....

"Clem took a deep breath as Rafa squeezed her hand tightly in his.

'Yes, Mom you can look now.'"

Who is Rafa, what could Mom look at?

Ah, that I'm not telling you.

Karen Swan and I want you to read all 502 pages to find out

A wonderful book that made me put my sewing down,

my knitting down and just read

in my afternoon chair,

in bed before I fell asleep,

missing hockey games

This is my third Karen Swan book
