Our Canadian Thanksgiving focuses on the harvest.
It focuses on our farmers who have worked hard all through the year to bring us the best of the best.
Our fresh cranberries are now prepared and ready to eat. Thank you to the cranberry growers in Nova Scotia. Our apples in our cobbler were grown locally at an orchard in Copetown, an apple farm we have dealt with for many years. The topping consists of flour from wheat produced on our Canadian prairies, along with so many other goodies. Our veggie roast consists of all these wonderful vegetables. All grown in Ontario. Some locally (like the carrots from our garden) and some from the Holland Marsh, Melancthon Township and some locally.
Without our farmers we wouldn't have this food. All grown in our wonderful country. Don't take your food for granted. Men and women have worked tirelessly to grow and harvest this for us.
For that, this Canadian is eternally grateful.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
