I live on a hill

with a valley below.  I can't see the valley from where I live which is a shame, but I get to drive through it quite often.
Last week I had to drive over to get my snow tires off, so I grabbed my camera and went for a walk while they worked on the car.  Two streams run through this part of the valley, join together at this junction and run through to the Grindstone Creek.
There is no name for this creek and it isn't on a map.  It's just there all year long flowing.  I crossed the road where the garage is and starting snapping photos.
Old trees that are left to decay and provide homes for whomever lives in our little woods

Beautiful spring flowers line the stream banks.

and a very tiny waterfall where the floor of the creek drops
I crossed the road to see just how far I could get along the stream bed

Unfortunately, without my hip wadders on, I didn't get far
and it's not wise to go wandering without letting people knowing you are doing it.

This is just one side of our little hidden gem.
There is more on the other side of the woods on the left.
There is probably more on the other side of the woods on the right.
That's for another day.
