I started last summer

I cut up a bunch of fabric into 2 1/2" squares with great intentions of making a child's quilt.
Needless to say, nothing came of those great plans and they sat in the box in the sewing room until now.
I designed a quilt, with the hopes of finding just the right fabric for the blocks.  This was a stashbuster quilt, but usually you have to buy something.

I searched the internet and thought I had found it, but apparently they actually didn't have it.  So I searched what was here.  I redesigned the quilt to fit the isolettes by their measurements and came up with this plan.
It didn't take long to make three blocks....and......I had everything I needed right here!!
I sat in front of the tv one night and pinned the rest of the blocks together and then gave myself a morning in the sewing room.  I took a break after lunch and went back down and worked some more.  By supper time I had the top pretty much put together.  The "solid" blocks measure 8 1/2".  The scrap blocks are 8 1/2" x 6 1/2" with an added 2 1/2" strip across the bottom.
Here's the fabric I found for the blocks that go between the scrap blocks.  I like it better than a plain white fabric.
The borders are now on and note how they were done.  I didn't have enough solid fabric in my stash so I improvised.  No rules in quilting.
