Throwback Thursday

In August of 2011, we took our youngest granddaughter camping with us to Rideau River Provincial Park.  The park is located on the Rideau River which runs into Ottawa, our nation's capital.  It's not a large park, but it's perfect for commuting into the city and going down to the surrounding area.

We like to take the kids to places where they will learn something.  We opted for the Village of Merrickville where there are locks and a blockhouse.  The blockhouse has a museum inside and that is where we spent some time when the Heaven's opened up.

When it was time for our afternoon break, we went into the village and spied the Moose Mart and we all had an ice cream cone!

Another great holiday that we shared with a grand.
