however, I was given an article from my friend Susan that I found quite interesting.  When you think of Australia and how it was settled ~~ the dumping ground for the refuse of British jails ~~ you think men but women were sent over also.

I can well imagine the long journey by sea from Britain to Australia and on this lengthy trip the women made -- are you ready for this -- quilts!  This is The Rajah Quilt

For those of you not familiar with Australia, Queensland is located in the northeast part of the continent.  You may all remember the city of Rockhampton that was flooded so very badly a few years ago, along with a few other places not so well known.
