The robin is usually the first sign of spring, but so far he hasn't appeared. I wonder if he knows something that we don't know.
Karl and I went for our walk yesterday and as we have done of late, checked out the gardens to see what might be coming up.
We have been watching the snowdrops for quite awhile now. They have been poking through for over a month and today they are just lovely.
They are up by the house so they not only get the warmth from the sunshine, but from the bricks too.
Here are a couple of clumps of them. They have spread themselves along the entire front of the house.
Someone once told me to just give them awhile and they would spread. They were right. It is taking a
l-o-n-g while though.
But look, what's this? No, it can't be! Over there to the right.................
Good grief, its tulips coming. Now that is early. But wait, there are more.
See, those right in the front...................daffodils!
Looks like its going to be a good year for the bulbs. Have to start watching the back gardens for the crocuses now.
