Shuuuuuu-oot!

We were cleaning out the laundry room and I decided to look into this plastic container.
I had to open it...........doughhead that I am.  Inside were these blocks along with one other.

I signed up for this BOM when I worked at the store which was a long time ago.  I didn't like it then, I don't like it now. But I spent a lot of money on this and I can't just toss it out.  I have all the patterns, but the fabric is missing.  It is nowhere to be found, so this will be it. The other block which isn't here, but it's that strange one with the two chimneys will be put on the back, more or less so I can just get rid of it.

The fabric used was from Thimbleberries, so there is no chance that I will ever find anything like it now.
Well, I spent an evening sewing the blocks together into two rows........guess what?
Still don't like it.  I like parts of it, just not the whole thing.  I think it's the size of the houses as they seem to overpower the whole quilt.
Anyway, I made a decision
I'm going to take these two rows

and put them in the "backings" box along with this one block
They can be used to make a backing wider
or longer
whichever is needed.
I can't waste them, but I can't use them either.
I think this quilt may appeal to me with parts and pieces of it.
It may appeal to me with different fabrics.
I will keep the patterns and perhaps in 10 years time, I'll make it again!
